Every Friday at 3:00 p.m., we gather in the chapel to recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet. All are invited to participate. Brochures are available with instructions on how to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Divine Mercy Novena.
Sister Maria Faustina Kowalska was a young, uneducated nun in a convent of the Congregation of Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Poland during the 1930s. She had only three years of simple education, so hers were the humblest tasks in the convent, usually in the kitchen or garden. However, Our Lord Jesus appeared to St. Faustina and gave her the message of Divine Mercy and asked her to have a picture painted depicting His image. He wanted the world to know of His Divine Mercy.
Jesus said to St. Faustina:
Encourage souls to say the chaplet I gave you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the Just Judge but as the Merciful Savior. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy. Let no one be afraid to approach Divine Mercy.
